Hebron Christian Academy is Hiring a Spiritual Life Coordinator Near Dacula, GA

Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Upper School Principal and Assistant Head of School works under the supervision of the High School Assistant Principal and the Middle School Assistant Principal
Overview
This is a full-time, twelve (12) month position. This position is responsible for engaging upper school students from a spiritual standpoint, including but not limited to teaching classes, speaking in Chapel, leading small group Bible studies, and assisting the Counseling department with student intervention. The Spiritual Life Coordinator is expected to assist Hebron Christian Academy in achieving its mission. A commitment to excellence and unparalleled customer service is needed and is the expectation of all Hebron employees.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in related field (or in progress) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
  • Experience as a Teacher or working with high school students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Teaches two sections of Biblical Foundations for high school students.
  • Possibly teaches an elective option for middle school students.
  • Coordinates with athletics to oversee team Chaplains and Bible studies.
  • Speaks in Chapel on a regular basis.
  • Speaks in Lower School Chapel (when needed).
  • Creates, promotes, and oversees all student Bible studies, including those taking place in the morning, during lunch, after school, or off-site on evenings and weekends.
  • Attends all class retreats and provides a spiritual component to each activity.
  • Provides availability (with office hours) for students to be able to talk about spiritual concerns.
  • Creates a Spiritual Retreat for high school students who are serious about their faith.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed.
